FENDI FOR KARL LAGERFELD THE EXHIBITION IN ROME FROM 16th of February until 10th of April,
FENDI FOR KARL LAGERFELD - "WORK IN PROGRESS"

Inaugurated in Paris in September, Rome will be the next city to host the photographic exhibition "Karl Lagerfeld. Percorso di Lavoro” formerly on exhibit at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. The exhibition will run from 16 February until 10 April 2011 at the Chiostro del Bramante under the patronage Altaroma, with the support of the Department of Cultural Policies and Communication of Roma Capitale.

In 1987, Karl Lagerfeld’s love of the medium motivated him to dedicate himself to the world of photography. Since that time he has doubled as the man behind the lens for ads and features for a number of well-known international magazines. However, this exhibition also includes more intimate shots taken during his travels or while wandering through the streets of Paris. The exhibition is divided into two parts, the first is dedicated to themes inherent in his own photographic career such as, for example, the fashion system, portraits, landscapes or architecture, while the second traces the more experimental aspects of his work applied to the actual developing and printing procedures. A guideline to understanding the artistic talent of Karl Lagerfeld.
